About TeleVerify

The Problem

Most telehealth providers believe their state license covers their telehealth sessions. It doesn't. When a patient connects via video, the laws of the state where the patient is physically located govern the session — not the state listed on the provider's license. This means a therapist in California treating a patient who happens to be visiting family in Ohio needs authorization to practice in Ohio for that session.

During COVID, emergency waivers across most states suspended these requirements. Providers got used to seeing patients anywhere. Those waivers have now expired, but most providers haven't caught up. They're unknowingly accumulating violations — each one carrying a minimum CMS fine of $11,665.

The Solution

TeleVerify provides real-time telehealth compliance verification built directly into the platforms providers already use — Zoom, Doxy.me, SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, and Jane App. Before every session, TeleVerify verifies the patient's location, checks the provider's licensing, compact enrollment, and registration status, and generates an audit-ready compliance record.

But verification is only half the picture. TeleVerify's Regulatory Intelligence maps each provider's coverage across all 50 US states & DC — specific to their credential type — and surfaces the highest-impact actions to expand coverage. It's not just a compliance tool. It's the only platform that tells providers exactly where they can practice, where they can't, and what to do about it.
